Dani Larkin is a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Belfast. Her debut album, Notes For A Maiden Warrior (2021), received widespread critical acclaim and catapulted Larkin to the international stage with performances at SXSW and WOMEX as well as tours with Snow Patrol, Lisa O'Neill, Glen Hansard, Ye Vagabonds and Rufus Wainright.
Larkin’s artistry within Notes For A Maiden Warrior led to collaborations with the Ulster Orchestra and RTÉ Concert Orchestra culminating in the release of Between Worlds (2022) which saw Larkin take centre-stage on national television, BBC Two, pushing the boundaries of orchestral folk. Larkin followed this with the release of Walking With Natives (2023) which saw her embark on headline tours of Australia, Korea, Finland, Canada, Ireland, the UK and a run of sold out shows at the Irish Arts Centre NYC.
With a profound performance at the RTÉ Folk Awards coupled with her tours in Europe, Australia, Asia and North America, Larkin has been heralded as a ‘must-see’ live performer on the national and international stage. Described as ‘one of the finest songwriters of our times’ (Gary Lightbody), Larkin has made numerous radio and television appearances on BBC 1, Virgin Media Ireland's Fanning At Whelans, Canada's CTV, alongside radio performances on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour and RTÉ Radio 1.
Larkin pushes the boundaries of songwriter and what it means to be an ‘artist of the times’ in today’s world. She has deftly woven herself within the threads of the modern folk canon alongside Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver and Adrienne Lenker. Larkin’s latest single, David (2025), was played across RTÉ Radio One, Double J Radio and BBC Radio 6 alongside sold out shows in Belfast, London and Dublin. Her eagerly anticipated sophomore album, Next Of Kin, will be released on the 23rd January 2026.
